| First held in 1999, the "Hats Off for Thomas" Gala raises funds to help children with cancer. Our desire is to directly affect the quality and enjoyment of life. The lives of the sick children and their families change so drastically. A moment of happiness, a smile, in the midst of months or years of darkness is priceless.
Thanks to everyone's generosity, 100% of the auction proceeds will benefit Children’s Memorial Hospital, local pediatric cancer patients and their families.
It's All About Kids is a 501(C)3 non-for-profit corporation devoted to helping children with cancer and their families. We are a 100% volunteer organization.
The 2009 Gala, "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" is Over! The celebration of the hope of a "courageous" child, the "love" of a family and the "brains" of the doctors to help these children was a success. The Berkshire Ballet Theatre delighted everyone with an outstanding contemporary dance. The Lawn Chair Dads filled the room with laughter and kept the mood upbeat! Mayor Brian Sager of Woodstock led the live auction. The musical talents of Rick Cartright and his band kept everyone dancing until midnight. This year we are supporting 4 families! One from Algonquin, one from Crystal Lake, one from McHenry and one from Woodstock! These children need our help. Our goal is to eventually be able to help one family per school district in McHenry County. In order to do this, we need your help!
Check out our Special Thanks page and our list of auction items for all the generous donors who help create this fabulous evening! Please let them know their donations are appreciated.
Hat's Off For Thomas Gala-2010 will be celebrating the fact that these children seem to be "Singing in the Rain". They are always in good spirits and are always trying to make there families happy! We celebrate "the sun in their hearts"!!
